About:

Lee Chie is currently a fourth-year student majoring in oil painting at Tama Art University and is actively engaged in artistic activities as an international student. Central to Lee Chie's work is flat-plane painting in oil, which constantly engages with"objects" such as printed materials, plants, cement, and everyday items to create compositions that form a single installation. Lee Chie is highly sensitive to the atmosphere of the environment and space, often transforming the structure and formation of installations through the relationships between these "objects" and space.
Furthermore, Lee Chie routinely writes philosophically flavored texts as drawings and explores the use of language, incorporating text that is considered as one "object" into their artwork.
